Former Broadcasters CEO highest paid association leader

The National Association of Broadcasters gave their retiring CEO, Eddie Fritts, a hefty parting gift—$7.4 million. Fritts’ final payday— $7,444,746 to be exact—was awarded after 24 years as the chief lobbyist and CEO at NAB, according to the trade group’s tax records. And NAB’s payout makes Fritts the highest paid association leader of 2006, the most recent available records for tax-exempt groups after filing delays.
